back to school

back to school for all the little people.....they were all sad see summer end, but did have some excitement for the new year and seeing friends every day.  It became clear to me toward the end of summer as they were bickering constantly that they truly needed to go back!

The traditional Mickey Mouse Pancake for the first day of school:

Judson entered 4th grade.   He is far too grown up now.   He allowed me to take this photo and then was off.
sniff, sniff....he is so grown up  ( I swear I say that way to much).

Drew entered 2nd grade:  He was a little nervous, but wanted to find his pal, Charlie so he walked off.

There he goes....

then he turned around because he  decide he wanted Mommy
to come with him to find his friend & his class line.
I was more than happy to put my camera down and just be with him!

After Drew was all settled in it was off to Jack's preschool.
He is entering 4-K (4 year old Kindergarten)
Jack is definitely becoming such a big boy.
In fact, he is the tallest in his class....and has now told me at least 10 times,
"Mama, I am the biggest at my school!"

As much as Tessa wants to go to school, and fights leaving Jack's school everyday, she is going to have to wait a little longer.
The boys all had great days to start the year off with.   Happy to be back with friends.  And equally happy the first couple days were homework free....Mommy likes that too.

First day of school....

The first day of school!
Judson- 3rd grade, Drew 1st grade, Jack preschool 4 mornings a week.
We were all ready for school to start back up....even if the boys couldn't admit it.  They were excited.  And honestly, I was just ready!

Back to school

Back to School!  All the boys had their first day of school today.  It was different for each of them.  Judson was excited to see his friends, but sad that summer over.  He immediately ran off to the playground to find his buddies and they started playing soccer.

Drew felt really nervous.  Last night he said he didn't want to go and I could feel his anxiety over the unknown that is kindergarten.  This morning he didn't want to leave his room, but then did after deciding to call the neighbors to see if they boys could ride with them.  Drew was excited to go to school with his friends.  So, we all went together to the school and that helped Drew a lot.  Drew played on the playground and when the bell rang grabbed his bag and found me.  We found his teacher and lined him up.  He looked scared and tearful.  I felt the same way.  I gave him a kiss and said, "Have a really fun day!".  I had to exit quickly after so he wouldn't see my tears.  Plus, it was time to get Jack to his first day of school ever at Monroe Preschool (2 mornings a week).  He has wanted to go to school for a long time.  Last year he would have a fit when we would drop off Drew and leave.  He was so excited and went into the room and started to play right away.  He barely needed to say good-bye to me, but I insisted. ;)   He had a great day.

Juddy and Drew both had great days at school too!  Juddy was thrilled to have friends in his class and said he really likes his teacher, Mr. Barnard.  I was concerned about Drew's day, but his teacher Mrs. Mahlkuck said he had a great day!  Drew was so cute at dinner tonight.  He said, "Mom, you want to hear a secret? ....School is AWESOME!".    What a relief!!!!    YEHHHHH!!!!!

First Day of School

This year Judson is in Ms. Skattum's 1st grade class at Northside Elementary.  Drew is in the 4-K program at Monroe Preschool with Mrs. Minogue.  What big boys I have.  They are both excited to be back at school.  Drew loves that his best friend Charlie is in his class.  Juddy is equally excited that his friends, Lily and Logan are in his class!

Kindergarten Circus!

Last night Judson had his debut as an "acrobat" in the Kindergarten circus. What a show they put on!!! It was beyond adorable to see all the kindergarteners all decked out. Juddy had a great time and we (Mommy, Daddy, Pops, Omie & Opie) all felt very proud of him! This was a wonderful night and a milestone in the life of a kindergartener here in Monroe!

Thank you for visiting the fiddlehead report!
