I have been called a bleeding heart.....
it's true.
I wouldn't have it any other way.
I want to see "it".
I want to feel "it".
I want to be there for "it"
What is "it" for which my heart bleeds?
for the intense love & loyalty for my family
for my husband who amazes me everyday,
for my soul friends,
for art and creating,
for capturing a moment from my lens,
for explosions of color,
for music that moves my soul & body,
for laughing so hard you cry,
for blooms in my garden,
for snuggling,
for holding hands,
for long, tight hugs,
for the smell of a baby and fuzz on their warm head,
for the warmth of the sun,
for the aroma of peonies,
for Africa,
for my children, oh for my children,
for seeing the good in the world,
for holding on to the hope,
my bleeding heart
knows these things for sure.
What does your heart bleed for?
do tell....
love the poem to go with!

So very pretty ~ and the pink is very striking :)
ReplyDeletebeautiful. my heart bleeds for the underdog, the broken, the hurting. It also bleeds for all that is beautiful and loved. For the young and the old and those stuck in difficult transitions, the teens, the early adulthood, the mid life, and getting close to being old. For all the children and the inner children waiting to be heard. For the oppressed and the outspoken. For all the dichotomies and for those rare moments where I seem to find true balance between them.
ReplyDeleteMy heart bleeds for poems that soften my heart--like the one you just wrote.
ReplyDeleteLove, love love it! So bright and vibrant!

ReplyDeleteMy heart bleeds for those who cannot find the beauty in the world through all of the darkness. My heart bleeds for the children of the people who cannot find the beauty of it all, who may or may not find their own goodness and light.
Beautiful!
